Drama Lab
Ages 6-11
This program is designed to introduce participants to a broad range of topics in the dramatic arts. Through games and other fun activities, participants will learn skills to add to their toolbox as an actor such as how to create a character with their voice, body and movement. Participants will get creative through improvisation games as well as planning out short skits. The main focus will be on fostering positive experiences and building a sense of community as we create together and learn new things about drama and ourselves.
Young Actor’s Company
Ages 12 - 15
Youth in our Young Actors Company will embark on a comprehensive exploration into acting techniques and stagecraft. We welcome anyone interested in learning more about theatre, whether they have had formal experiences or not. Together we will discover how to think creatively, make text come to life and gain confidence in working and performing collaboratively.
Drama Discovery
Ages 4-6
Drama Discovery is a fun introduction to the performing arts for kindergarten-aged children. Through play, song, movement, and storytelling, little ones will explore self-expression, build confidence, and develop social skills. This playful class will encourage creativity while teaching basic acting concepts, like using voice and body to tell stories, all in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Theatre Kids Camps
At OVTK we believe that camp should be a balanced combination of arts education and well-rounded recreation. Having lots of time together means that we can go more in depth into drama topics and theatre production, but we keep fun and friendship at the center with lots of activities to explore different interests. Whether campers have done drama before or it is completely new to them, we know that the skills and experiences gained will help them on stage and beyond!
